February is here! It is hard to believe that we are over halfway done with the school year J. Seeing how much the children have learned and grown this year is so exciting! I know we say this to you so often (but it is because we truly mean it) – we are so thankful that you have allowed us to share in this special time in your child’s life. They are such a joy every day! We have lots going on this month, so be sure to make note of all the important dates.

 Registration
Once again, we have had a wonderful response to registration. Thank you all for getting your forms turned in promptly. It is always such fun to meet the new families that will be joining us next year. Thank you for speaking so highly of our program in the community. We appreciate your support!

Valentine’s Parties
We will be having our Valentine’s parties on February 13^th and 14^th. Your child’s teacher will let you know the details of their party.  Typically, these parties are just for the children. We encourage parents to have fun looking through your child’s Valentine’s cards with them when they get home!

Spirit Day
We will have two “Spirit Days” this month – Feb. 7^th & 20^th.

Firefighter Visit
The children will be treated to a special visit from some firefighters on Thursday, Feb. 28^th. The children always have such a great time seeing the fire trucks up close!

Tooth Fairy Visit
We are excited that the tooth fairy is going to be paying us a visit this month. She will be telling the children how important it is to take care of their teeth.

 Half Dollar to Help Day!

Our next “Half $ to Help” day is Wed., Feb. 20^th . The money collected will be going to the YMCA Focus on Forsyth Program and is designated to buy bunk beds for a family in need in our community. We are asking each child to send to send in 50 cents (or any other amount) to help with the purchase of the beds. The children always have such fun dropping their coins in our special “Giving Jar” J.

 Vision/Speech/Hearing Screenings
Greater Atlanta Speech and Language Clinics will be holding a screening for 3, 4, and 5 year-old children on Feb. 21^st. If you want to have your child screened, please return the form and payment by Feb. 14^th.

 No School

There will be no school on February 18^th in observance of President’s Day.

 Dad’s Night

Remember that Dad’s Night, “A Night in Smalltown” is Thursday night, March 7^th from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. This is for all children, and their fathers, in our 3 year-old, 4 year-old, and 5 year-old classes. If a father cannot attend, then a grandfather, uncle, friend, or mother can come instead. This is such a special night! Please make plans to be here! More information will be sent home later.

Tuition

Tuition is due on February 12^th.

 Scholastic Book Orders

Scholastic orders are due on February 14^th.
