What is acts 1:8?

Jesus’ last words are our first priority.

Jesus said in Acts 1:8: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Because of what Jesus has done for us, we have hope. And that hope is too good to keep to ourselves. God made us for a mission—to be His witnesses everywhere we go and to make disciples of all nations.

How do we implement acts 1:8?

We at First Baptist keep this mission at the center of all we do by staying laser-focused on 4 goals. By God’s grace and power, we will:

HELP every member live on mission.

OFFER opportunities for every small group to support and serve our mission partners.

PLANT healthy churches that will saturate cities with the good news about Jesus Christ.

EQUIP mission leaders who will mobilize disciple-making groups and churches.
