London partnership faq
Why London?
As one of the world’s most influential cities, London is a global, strategic city with people from 190 nations speaking over 300 different languages. According to the International Mission Board, less than 3% are evangelical followers of Jesus. The top 100 unreached people groups in all the world are represented in London.* Tim Keller says, “There’s no better choice of ministry setting than London—if you really want to make an impact on the world.”

What are the purposes of a mission trip to London?
The 3 “Es” of a mission trip help us embrace our responsibility to make and multiply disciples across Southwest London: (1) EQUIP—Equipping mission team members with pre-trip, on-the-field, and post-trip training. There are also opportunities to equip churches in London in the areas of evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development.
(2) ENGAGE—Engaging London with our partners. The “Big Picture” vision for London is: Partnering with US churches and London churches/organizations to send students, professionals, families, church planters, and retirees to engage Londoners by sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, making disciples, and multiplying churches across Southwest London.
(3) ENCOURAGE—Encouraging our mission partners in London by praying with them, spending time with them, and serving the city with them.
What are the upcoming mission trips?
What is the cost of a mission trip to London?
The cost depends upon the time of the year. May-August is more expensive (approx. $2,000). Trips in other months cost closer to $1,500. For FBC members who complete pre-trip requirements, the Acts 1:8 Missions Offering will pay for approximately 25% of the trip.
The deadline to register for a mission trip is at least 3 months before the trip. EXAMPLE: Registration for a July trip is April 1. A $500 deposit and trip application will be due at that time. The remaining balance will be due before the trip.

What if I can’t go at this time?
Even if you can’t go to London right now, there are significant ways that you can still be involved:
Pray: Commit to pray for our London partners and with our London partners regularly. Communicate with them and discover specific ways you can pray for their needs. Schedule some times when you can host a virtual call with your global city partner and pray with them. Click here to Pray God’s Heart for London.
Encourage: Be creative about ways you can encourage our London partners and their families. Send them notes filled with Scripture and prayers. Celebrate victories with our London partners. Send care packages and special occasion gifts (birthdays, anniversaries and/or holidays).
Give: If you can’t go, you can give. You can help send someone on mission by giving financial support. You can give online and designate to Acts 1:8 London.
